Livestock and hay shelters

Frequently asked questions

Shelters for livestock and hay consist of a solid galvanised steel structure covered with a durable three-layer PVC tarpaulin. The 750 or 900 g/m² tarpaulin is waterproof and resistant to rain, snow, wind and UV radiation. The quality of the solutions we use is also confirmed by our certificates.

If the selected livestock shelter is in stock, delivery usually takes 3 to 5 working days. We can assemble smaller and medium-sized shelters in a single day. For larger models, assembly may take two to three days.

Service life depends mainly on the load-bearing steel structure, the PVC tarpaulin, how it is used and regular maintenance. With proper care, the galvanised steel structure can serve for more than 20 years. The life of the tarpaulin is affected by its weight, correct tensioning and the conditions it is exposed to. 650 g/m² tarpaulin lasts 15 to 20 years; the 900 g/m² version approximately 20 to 25 years.

Selected shelters for livestock and hay withstand winds of up to 100 km/h. The PVC tarpaulin can also handle a covering of snow, but if the layer exceeds 10 cm we recommend removing it to prevent excessive loading of the structure. The exact resistance depends on the specific model and the anchoring method.

Yes, if necessary you can dismantle the shelter, move it to a new location and reassemble it. For larger models we recommend professional assembly so that the structure is correctly assembled and anchored after relocation.

Yes, in addition to the models in stock we can also prepare a custom-sized hall. We adapt the dimensions to the number of animals, the available space and the planned use of the shelter.

Which animals are our shelters suitable for?
Our range includes several livestock shelters, so you can choose the right model according to the type and number of animals you keep. A livestock shelter gives animals protection and comfort during year-round outdoor keeping. It is most often used for:

Cattle: The shelter gives cattle, such as cows and calves, a protected space for resting and feeding and a refuge from bad weather.
Sheep: Protects sheep from rain, wind, snow and intense sunshine. More options are described in the article: types of shelters for sheep.
Goats: Creates a dry and safe place for goats to rest, feed and take cover. You will find more details in the article: types of shelters for goats.
Horses: Gives horses plenty of space and protection from rain, wind, snow and strong sun.
Chickens and other small animals: The shelter is suitable for chickens, geese, ducks and other farm animals. Find out more in the article: types of shelters for chickens.
Pigs: Gives pigs a covered space to rest and protection from bad weather.

Hay and feed shelter
Besides keeping cattle, chickens and other animals, our shelters also serve as a stable and reliable space for storing hay, feed or various machinery. A hay shelter protects the stored material from adverse weather conditions. When storing hay, a dry and well-ventilated environment is important, as it helps prevent damp, mould and rot.
